The Sound of Science: A Tinnitus Biobank

Tinnitus - the perception of noises in the ear/head - can severely impact mental health. We wanted to attract 1,000 people to sign-up for a Tinnitus Biobank to help in the race to find cures. Through an insight-led integrated campaign, we delivered hundreds of media articles and organically engaged tens of thousands with an animated explainer video - while humanising our campaign with the voices of people with tinnitus and the academics whose research would benefit from a Biobank. The result was 3,500 sign-ups in just one week and a handful of meetings with research-funders to discuss the £4m project.
