Women’s pain is not taken seriously, often ignored, or deemed “emotional”, with over one in two women feeling their pain is ignored because of their gender. To launch Nurofen’s new brand platform and social mission to help close the Gender Pain Gap, we created a powerful combination of consumer PR, brand action and HCP engagement to reveal the true extent of the pain bias that women experience every day. The Gender Pain Gap report captivated the media, delivering phenomenal global mass media awareness and a huge spike in Google search, for the start of an important brand and societal journey.
