ADHD and the Criminal Justice System

We were challenged to work with stakeholders to develop

policy solutions to get people with ADHD in the CJS the support that they need. Takeda wanted ADHD to be acknowledged and included within policy documents including the Government’s Prisons Strategy White Paper and ask the Government to bring forward an Action Plan. Thanks to our work, the needs of prisoners with ADHD are considered as a core part of the government’s Action Plan for the criminal justice system, to improve recognition and care of ADHD and reduce the human and financial cost of associated crimes.
